Meet 'Burrito'—the "plumpest" trailer in the succulent kingdom. With her thick, tear-shaped, blue-green leaves tightly packed along cascading stems, she looks like a collection of frosted botanical beads. She’s a sturdy, geometric beauty that brings a soft, "donkey-tail" pop to any sunny shelf!

  • The Formal Name: Sedum burrito
  • The Nickname: Burro's Tail or Donkey Tail
  • Roots: Native to the sunny, dry rocky slopes of Southern Mexico.
  • Natural Vibe: Creeping over cliffs and rocks in search of intense, direct sun.

Care Guide

  • Care Guide:
  • Sunlight: She loves bright, direct sun! Plenty of light is needed to keep her "tail" dense and prevent leggy growth.
  • Best Room: A south-facing kitchen window or a high shelf in a sunny bedroom.
  • Snacks: A weak liquid succulent fertiliser once in the spring.
  • Tropical Feels: Hates humidity. She needs dry air and good ventilation to stay healthy.
  • Cosy Factor: Happy between 15–27°C. Keep her strictly away from frost!
  • Thirst: Very low thirst. Let the soil dry out 100% before watering deeply. Her leaves store massive amounts of water.
  • Safety First: Non-toxic – perfectly safe for curious cats and dogs, though her leaves fall off easily!
  • The Bedding: A gritty, fast-draining cactus and succulent mix is mandatory.
  • Family Tree: Incredibly easy to propagate from a single leaf dropped on the soil surface.
  • Space Needs: A prolific trailer, with vines reaching 30–60 cm in length over several years.
  • Speed: Slow to moderate grower; she builds her "tails" one plump leaf at a time.
  • Uninvited Guests: Watch for mealybugs in the tight clusters of leaves.
  • Moving Day: Handle with extreme care! Her leaves are "fragile" and pop off at the slightest touch.
  • Haircut: No pruning needed unless you want to start a new plant from a cutting.
  • Fresh Air: A hardy air purifier that brings a soft, blue-green glow to your air.
  • Plant Lore: The "burrito" variety is more compact and rounded than the standard "morganianum," making it the cuter of the two!
