Care Guide
  • Care Guide:
  • Sunlight: Bright indirect light is best; stronger light helps variegated or collector forms grow well, but avoid scorching direct sun.
  • Best Room: A bright living room, plant shelf or moss-pole display suits it well.
  • Snacks: Feed monthly in spring and summer with a balanced houseplant feed.
  • Tropical Feels: Moderate to high humidity supports clean unfurling and healthy aerial roots.
  • Cosy Factor: Keep warm, ideally 18–27°C, and away from cold glass or draughts.
  • Thirst: Water when the top of the mix starts to dry, then drain fully.
  • Safety First: Not pet-safe – keep away from cats, dogs and children who may chew the leaves or stems.
  • The Bedding: Use a chunky aroid mix with bark, perlite and coir so the roots can breathe.
  • Family Tree: Propagate from stem cuttings with at least one node.
  • Space Needs: Give a pole, plank or support to encourage larger, more mature leaves.
  • Speed: Moderate in warmth and light; variegated or rare forms are slower.
  • Uninvited Guests: Watch for thrips, spider mites and mealybug on new growth.
  • Moving Day: Repot when rootbound or when the mix breaks down.
  • Haircut: Trim damaged leaves or leggy vines just above a node.
  • Fresh Air: A proper jungle plant for collectors and bold foliage lovers.
  • Plant Lore: Monstera leaves become more dramatic when the plant is allowed to climb and mature.
