  • Natural Vibe: Bright filtered light, chunky media and warm roots.

Care Guide
  • Care Guide:
  • Sunlight: Bright indirect light is best; a little gentle sun can improve colour and flowering.
  • Best Room: A warm bright shelf, hanging pot or cabinet suits Hoya well.
  • Snacks: Feed lightly in spring and summer with orchid or houseplant feed.
  • Tropical Feels: Moderate humidity is fine; extra humidity helps small-leaved species root and grow.
  • Cosy Factor: Keep warm and away from cold draughts.
  • Thirst: Let the mix dry partly between waterings, then drain fully.
  • Safety First: Not pet-safe – keep away from cats, dogs and children who may chew the leaves or stems.
  • The Bedding: Use a chunky airy Hoya mix with bark, perlite and coir.
  • Family Tree: Propagate from node cuttings in warm bright conditions.
  • Space Needs: Let vines trail, climb or wrap around a support.
  • Speed: Usually steady but not fast; species forms can be slower.
  • Uninvited Guests: Watch for mealybug around nodes and new growth.
  • Moving Day: Repot only when needed; Hoyas enjoy being slightly snug.
  • Haircut: Avoid cutting old flower spurs if you want repeat blooms.
  • Fresh Air: A collectible wax plant for bright shelves and hanging displays.
  • Plant Lore: Mature Hoyas can bloom again from old spurs, so avoid cutting off the little flowering nubs.
