  • Sunlight: Give bright indirect light or gentle morning/evening sun. Strong light deepens the dark colour, but hot midday sun can scorch young leaves.
  • Best Room: A warm grow-light shelf, bright bathroom or humid plant cabinet while small; later it becomes a bold floor or patio-style statement plant.
  • Snacks: Feed little and often during active growth; dark-leaved Colocasia are hungry once they start producing larger leaves.
  • Tropical Feels: Likes humidity and moving air. Dry rooms can crisp leaf edges, especially on new unfurling leaves.
  • Cosy Factor: Keep warm, ideally 20–28°C. Avoid nights below 16°C while it is this small.
  • Thirst: Keep evenly moist, never bone dry. Water as the surface starts to dry and do not let the tiny corm sit cold and wet.
