Emm's Plant House Ltd operates a private Google Drive backup utility using rclone.

Information accessed

The application requests Google Drive read-only permission. This permission technically allows it to read files and metadata across the authorised Google Drive account, although our backup configuration is restricted to the Plant Care Books folder.

How information is used

Selected Google Drive files are downloaded to a local backup drive controlled by the business.

File names, sizes, checksums and backup results may be recorded in local verification logs.

The application does not edit, upload or delete Google Drive files.

Storage and sharing

Backup copies and verification records are stored on business-controlled equipment. Files are retained until the business removes them under its backup procedures.

The utility does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising or distribute it to third parties for marketing.

Google authentication credentials are stored in the local rclone configuration and are not published on this website.

Access and removal

The authorised account holder can revoke access through Google Account settings. Stored backup copies can be removed separately from the local backup drive.
